The mythical HRP (Haute Route des Pyrénées) is an unmarked high-mountain itinerary that crosses the Pyrenees. It follows the ridges without descending into the inhabited valleys between the GR10 on the French side and the GR11 on the Spanish side.
The Grande Traversée des Alpes (GTA) is one of the most fabulous hiking itineraries to cross the entire French Alps. It takes in part of the GR5 linking Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean Sea, as far as Nice or Menton, depending on the variant.
